10 Things That No Longer Need to Spook Us

Just in time for Halloween, here are 10 things that no longer need to spook us––if we stay on the recovery path!

(1) Loneliness, feeling adrift in the world

(2) Relapse

(3) Isolation, no one to talk with about or to understand what we’ve been through

(4) Waking up in strange places

(5) Blackouts

(6) Resentments burning up inside

(7) Guilt, shame, and pitiful demoralization

(8) Being baffled by situations

(9) Financial insecurity

(10) Not knowing how to reconnect with our loved ones

In gratitude, harmony, and support,

I think that list sums up sobriety fairly well. I would add that we need not be scared of being our true selves. We are enough. Hugs💜

Good one – let our light shine – be our true selves. We are perfect as we are and can always grow and evolve… xo

Great list! My addition would be not fearing the future. Living “One Day at a Time” takes care of that!

Good reminder – one day at a time… one moment at at time…
